Couscous Salad: this salad tastes OUT OF THIS WORLD -not kidding- I posted this on my blog @cooklybooklyhq a little while back but it didn’t make it to this platform until now - I do that a lot 🤷🏻‍♀️ Trust me, this is one recipe you will go back to over and over again. It tastes so good the day you make it and a couple of days later too. So cold lunches? You got it! #sarchakra #couscous

What is the one ingredient you use the most in your kitchen? For me it is tomatoes- fresh ripe tomatoes. Garlic does follow closely but I use tomatoes nearly everyday I cook, in at least one if not more recipes. Tomatoes are rich in nutrients like vitamin C, folate, potassium, vitamin K as well as antioxidants including beta carotene and lycopene. Although there are different varieties of tomatoes like plum, heirloom, beefsteak, Campari, brandywine, pear tomatoes etc., I don’t have a special preference. However I do have just a little extra love for the aesthetic beauty of cherry tomatoes on the vine, especially in pasta dishes . For soups and curries I mostly use Roma or plum tomatoes, for salads grape tomatoes work so well and so forth. What can you use tomatoes for - dips, salads, sauces, salsa, pasta, sandwiches, bruschettas, soups, as a snack, on pizzas, in pies, in cocktails, for grilling, roasting, pickling and even in beauty. Did you know tomatoes are an excellent astringent and soothes your skin in acne or sunburn? What is your favorite way to use a tomato? #sarchakra #tomatoes
And just like that it’s time for a #breakfastpost
