Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that boosts the immune system and protects against oxidative stress. It supports liver function and aids in the elimination of toxins. It alkalizes the body and helps maintain a healthy pH balance. It also acts as a natural cleanser and supports the body’s detoxification processes.

Fair warning: turmeric stains everything so use caution if you have light colored counter tops like mine. In case of any spilling, make a thick paste of baking soda with water, lather it thick and let sit for 15 mins. Wipe away and any stain will be gone! Needless to say, I learnt this the hard way.
