Homemade Pineapple Orange Sorbet with a little zing – can I hear a yes please? The secret to the zing is a little carbonated water. It is also the secret to making the sorbet super creamy. Try it sometime and let me know if you like it! @sarchakra
PREP TIME: 10 mins plus freezing

YIELDS: 4
Ingredients
- Pineapple 1
- Orange 1
- Zest of 1 orange
- Brown sugar 2 tbsp
- Perrier carbonated mineral water 200 ml
Method
- Clean and cut pineapple into chunks. Freeze the pieces on a tray making sure they spread out evenly and not clump together.
- Add the pineapple chunks and any juice left in a food processor. Add the orange, orange zest, brown sugar and the Perrier. Blend into a creamy consistency.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer friendly container. Freeze for a couple of hours before serving.
Notes
If the pineapple is very sweet or if you like your sorbet a little on the sour side, omit the sugar. I love the flavor of the brown sugar in the sorbet.
